Portable and automated 3D measurement solutions provider Creaform (Lévis, Québec, Canada) appointed Daniel Rivard as its vice president of operations. Working from the company’s Lévis headquarters, Rivard will be responsible for managing and coordinating all manufacturing operations for Creaform’s Innovation & Technology Division.
In his new role, Rivard will look for ways to shorten delivery times and keep the company agile in response to evolving client needs, all while maintaining Creaform’s standards for quality and reliability. His predecessor in the role, Fanny Truchon, was promoted earlier this year to president and business unit manager for Creaform.
Rivard comes to Creaform from the medical and pharmaceutical solutions industry and brings a wealth of managerial and operational experience to his new role. Past positions include general manager of Steris, vice president of operations and development for TSO3 and Orthofab, and technical services manager for GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals. He also has experience as a production manager and quality manager for the construction and recreational vehicle industries.
“Having spent the last 20 years working with companies that develop cutting-edge applications for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, I know what it takes, in terms of rigor and quality, to satisfy the customers coming to Creaform for 3D measurement solutions,” Rivard said. “It’s always exciting to work for a company that’s driving the development of an advanced technology.”
Rivard holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in business administration and is a certified member of board directors (ASC – Université Laval).
