Chicago (January 19, 2017) – Hannover Fairs USA (HFUSA), Deutsche Messe’s U.S. subsidiary, today announced that it has formed a partnership with the owners of FABTECH including SME, FMA, AWS, PMA and CCAI to co-locate Industrial Automation North America and Motion, Drive & Automation North America (MDA North America) trade shows with FABTECH Chicago at McCormick Place from November 6-9, 2017.
Industrial Automation North America (factory, process, and building automation technologies) and MDA North America (power transmission, motion control and fluid technology) are part of the HANNOVER MESSE global portfolio of industrial technology events. FABTECH is North America’s largest collaboration of technology, equipment and knowledge in the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industries. In 2015, FABTECH Chicago showcased more than 1,700 exhibiting companies to a total of 43,836 attendees from over 90 countries.
“Forming this partnership with Hannover Fairs USA to co-locate Industrial Automation North America and MDA North America with FABTECH is a critical growth strategy for our Chicago exhibition,” said Jeffrey Krause, CEO and Executive Director, SME. “This is a natural next step since FABTECH includes all the major players in sheet and plate metal fabricating, welding, finishing, metal stamping and tube & pipe fabrication. We now can offer FABTECH Chicago visitors a host of complimentary industrial technologies and machinery to advance their facilities,” added Krause.
Co-locating Industrial Automation North America and MDA North America at FABTECH Chicago allows Hannover Fairs USA to provide these two key tradeshows on an annual basis. Both currently are held at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in the even years.
Commenting on Hannover Fairs USA’s objectives for partnering with FABTECH President & CEO of HFUSA Larry Turner said, “We are excited about forming this partnership with the FABTECH event because our key exhibitors indicated a desire to showcase their solutions on an annual basis in North America. FABTECH Chicago’s visitors are a perfect fit with our two shows’ target markets. The primary reason visitors attend FABTECH Chicago is to source new manufacturing products and now they can see an extension of industrial product offerings at Industrial Automation North America and MDA North America in the Lakeside Hall of McCormick Place.”
